The 2001 Peach Classic was Marci's first competition. In fact her Pre-Bronze and Bronze tests weren't until just before the applications were due for the competition. She even passed her Bronze test without her own music. In the excitement of getting ready for her first test, she left her tape at home. However, she skated to Gloria Lewis' tape and still passed.
